In article features of teaching of the second foreign language in the highest technical educational institutions and differences from teaching of the first foreign language are considered. It is paid attention to teaching of the second foreign language as of specific discipline, and non-standard methods which are expedient for using in the course of teaching of the second foreign language are analyzed.
