Наголошено на необхідності та важливості вивчення термінологічної лексики у процесі опанування іноземної мови фахового спрямування студентами інженерних спеціальностей у технічному ЗВО. Проаналізовано етапи формування лексичної компетенції та визначено роль професійно-орієнтованих текстів у цьому процесі. Зазначено необхідність постійного пошуку нових можливостей і способів для формування і удосконалення лексичної компетенції майбутніх інженерів.It is considered the issue of improving lexical competence as an important component of the foreign language communicative competence of future engineers. It is emphasized the necessity and importance of studying terminological vocabulary in the process of mastering the foreign language of higher professional specialization by students of engineering specialties at the technical high school. The stages of formation of lexical competence are analyzed and the role of professional-oriented texts in this process is determined.
