The hypertext technologies directly related to the operation and development of the Internet claim to become an important part of educational process and students' activity. Therefore, within the course “History of Foreign Literature” the students of Applied Linguistics develop websites for quick and easy access to the assessment of knowledge on the issues of the course. The developed websites have a practical value for those who study the course of the History of Foreign Literature. Electronic hypertext is seen as a natural extension of classroom training in the study of a topic.
