Кожне суспільство має свій досвід і традиції зародження, протікання і розв’язання такого гострого соціального конфлікту як революція. Так наприклад, європейське суспільство накопичило як позитивний, так і негативний досвід «своїх революцій». Автор попробує з’ясувати наявність чи відсутність традиції революції в Україні. Для з’ясування цієї проблеми подається історичний огляд соціальних конфліктів в Україні (до ХІХ ст.) і висвітлюється інтелектуальна рефлексія цих конфліктів українцямиSocial traditions are inherent characteristics of each society. «Revolutionary tradition» is one of the social traditions. Each society has its own experience and tradition of solving social conflict. Revolution is the extreme manifestation of such a conflict. The countries of Europe, Russia have their own revolutionary tradition. The author finds out whether there is such a tradition in Ukrainian society.
