| dc.description.abstract1 | In the study, a sample of the life expectancy of highly qualified athletes of game sports was made based on the materials of encyclopedic publications. Athletes specializing in such sports as football, volleyball, handball, basketball are included in the analysis. Out of the total number of athletes (51 persons), men made up 94.1 % and 5.1 % of athletes, who were not included in the analysis, because life expectancy has a gender feature. It was established that the average life expectancy of highly qualified athletes of game sports is lower than the average population results in Ukraine. Such results contradict a number of global population studies, but are consistent which other studies, which draw attention to the existence of the existence of an upper limit of the amount of physical activity with the loss of some advantages of promoting longevity. | |
