This paper examines the methods and models used to study the physical properties of materials at the nanoscale, particularly the molecular dynamics method. The paper investigates how the pairwise interaction of atoms and the assumption of long-range forces affect the strength and thermophysical properties of materials. Special attention is paid to the analysis of the propagation of disturbances through the electromagnetic field and virtual particles that fill the interatomic space. The theoretical aspects of the influence of electromagnetic and gravitational fields on materials are considered, as well as the interaction of these fields with virtual particles at absolute zero temperature. It is shown that disturbances in the structural unit of matter cannot propagate at the speed of light because they are influenced by the field created by the atoms. The study also highlights the relationship between phonons and photons, which are the essence of the same physical phenomenon but are responsible for different aspects: phonons for heat capacity and thermal conductivity, and photons for the spectrum of electromagnetic energy radiation. The dependence of the energy and quantity of phonons and photons on temperature is described, allowing for a deeper understanding of their role in physical processes at the nanoscale. The research results provide a deeper understanding of the nature of interatomic interactions at the nanoscale and their impact on the physical properties of materials. This opens up new perspectives for the development of materials with improved characteristics that can be used in various fields of science and technology, including nanotechnology, electronics, and materials science.
