| dc.description.abstract1 | The history of the birth of football in the Mykolayiv region is inextricably linked with the port life of the city. The first matches of English sailors on the port sites attracted the interest of local youth. First, yard and street football began to develop, and later club football. A football championship was held in the city, local team and the Mykolaiv national team met in matches with teams from Odesa, Kherson, and foreign clubs. There were a number of bright athletes among Mykolaiv football players. At the same time, the history of the development of sport is connected with the socio-political history of the country, whose people were repressed by the communist regime. In the 1930s and 1940s, a number of football players from Mykolaiv were repressed. Among them are such famous football players as P. Ryabov, S. Leuta, V. Prokofiev, B. Mashenzhinov, football referee V. Potaturov. | |
