dc.description.abstract1It is shown that the service sector is developing dynamically in the period of formation of post-industrial society. The definition of the service sector is given. The macroeconomic features of the service sector development are determined. It is substantiated that the functioning of the service sector in Ukraine has its own peculiarities. The world tendencies of further development and strategic perspectives are presented. It is determined that in the transition to the post-industrial stage of social production there is a transformation of the ratio of primary, secondary and tertiary sectors of the economy. revenues from services in world GDP reached 68%. In highly developed countries, a significant share of income is provided by the tertiary sector, the share of income in GDP is ¾. In conditions of uncertainty, the priority is not so much an increase in the share of GDP, but rather the development of information, non-traditional services and their intersectoral relationship. Ukraine has sufficient potential for further development of the services sector. The number of small enterprises working in this field is gradually increasing in the country. Despite some negative factors, taking into account global trends in the further development of the services sector will help to steadily strengthen the position of the tertiary sector in the national economy.uk_UA
