dc.description.abstractЗроблений історичний екскурс створення настільного тенісу як дозвілля у вимушених перервах, зумовленими дощовою погодою, між матчами з великого тенісу у Великій Британії. Англійські офіцери сприяли поширення цього дозвілля у колоніях імперії. Наприкінці ХІХ – початку ХХ ст. розвиток настільного тенісу відбувся на західних теренах України, які на той час входили до Австро-Угорської імперії. Проте офіційні дані змагань в Україні відомі тільки з середини ХХ ст. У 1900 р. у Великій Британії настільний теніс (пінг-понг) визнаний як спорт, відбулися перші офіційні змагання, а 1901 р. перші міжнародні змаганням. 1926 р. була заснована Міжнародна федерація настільного тенісу та пройшов перший чемпіонат світу. З новою силою гра відродилася із закінченням Другої світової війни. У 1960-х роках гра стала однією з наймасовіших видів спорту. 1950 р. в Москві відбувся перший Всесоюзний турнір, а наступного 1950 р. відбулися чемпіонати Союзу та України. З 1960-х років настільний теніс став поширеним дозвіллям в Україні у радянських закладах та організаціях, у тому числі й на Миколаївщині. Із здобуттям незалежності, в Україні заснована національна Федерація настільного тенісу. З 2000 р. команда України бере участь у змаганнях в Новій Європейській Лізі, проводиться Клубний чемпіонат України. Розвивається й паралімпійський настільний теніс. Миколаївські спортсмени Наталія Косміна та Юрій Щепанський досягли значних успіхів з настільного тенісу.
dc.description.abstract1A historical tour of the creation of table tennis as a pastime during the forced rain breaks between major tennis matches in Great Britain. English officers promoted the spread of this pastime in the empire’s colonies. At the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th centuries. the development of table tennis took place in the western territories of Ukraine, which at that time were part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. However, official data of competitions in Ukraine are known only from the middle of the 20th century. In 1900, table tennis (ping-pong) was recognized as a sport in Great Britain, the first official competitions were held, and in 1901, the first international competitions. In 1926, the International Table Tennis Federation was founded and the first world championship was held. With a new force, the game was revived with the end of the Second World War. In the 1960s, the game became one of the most popular sports. In 1950, the first All-Union tournament was held in Moscow, and in the following year, in 1950, the championships of the Union and Ukraine took place. Since the 1960s, table tennis has become a common pastime in Ukraine in Soviet institutions and organizations, including in the Mykolaiv region. After gaining independence, the National Table Tennis Federation was founded in Ukraine. Since 2000, the Ukrainian team has participated in competitions in the New European League, the Ukrainian Club Championship is held. Paralympic table tennis is also developing. Mykolaiv sportsmen Nataliya Kosmina and Yurii Shchepanskyi achieved considerable success in table tennis.
