dc.description.abstractПроцес розбудови української державності ставить завдання всебічної підготовки та виховання людини і громадянина. Хто ми такі, звідки вийшли і куди прямуємо, де наше коріння? Без відповіді на ці запитання молода людина не може включитись у загальнодемократичний процес в якості його повноправного суб’єкта. Адже бути громадянином – це значить сприймати державу як свою, діяти відповідно до її політики. Це вимагає високого рівня свідомості, складовою якої є свідомість історична.uk_UA
dc.description.abstract1The process of building Ukrainian statehood sets the task of comprehensive training and education of man and citizen. Who are we, where did we come from and where are we going, where are our roots? Without answering these questions, a young person cannot join the general democratic process as a full-fledged subject. After all, to be a citizen means to perceive the state as one’s own, to act in accordance with its policy. This requires a high level of consciousness, which includes historical consciousness. Knowing the past, a person more confidently perceives the present and models the future. She understands that the current processes are historically determined, that thousands and maybe millions of people gave their lives at this moment, that Ukrainians are a people who originally aspired to statehood and, having won it, must keep it in the complex political vortices unfolding in the modern world. Over the past decades, history has had an ideologically dissected form in schools and universities. Penetration into the depths of historical knowledge was not encouraged. The history of Ukraine was considered a component of Russia. The Ukrainian historical and cultural tradition - a unique experience of world-class culture - was not actually recognized. With the proclamation of independence there were no less difficult problems: how to present this material to pupils and students, how to cultivate respect for their history and culture, without provoking contempt for peoples and nations that humiliated and limited its development, which forms of historical education most effectively contribute to the process civic formation of youth, etcuk_UA
