dc.description.abstractengA characteristic feature of modern research in applied geometry is the operation with complex analytical equations to create engineering shapes with specified properties. In aerodynamic design problems, particularly in the construction of nose cones for ballistic projectiles, not only the visual smoothness of the contour is of critical importance, but also the nature of its curvature distribution. Classical cycloidal curves have a rigidly defined structure, which limits the possibilities for local shape correction. In this paper, a mathematical model of a cycloid with Gaussian modification is proposed, which provides a targeted effect on the local and global geometric characteristics of the contour.
